Fromthechartyoucanseethat7005-T6isslightlystrongerthan6061-T6,butstrongerthanbothofthemis2014-T6andinfactthereisanother7XXXseriesaluminum(7075)thatisstrongeraswell.Whychoose7005anD6061thenBikeframesarenotmadeoutofsolidaluminum,whichishowthetestsamplesforcomparingmaterialstrengthsareconstructed.Abikeframeismadeupoftubingthatisweldedtogether:welding7075and2014arealmostimpossiblefeatsthateliminatethemasviablechoicesformakingabike.Thatleaves7005(azincalloy)and6061(amagnesium/siliconalloy).Thedifferencebetweenthetwoisthat7005,becauseofitshighalloycontent(over6%),ishardertomanipulatethematerialandtoweldit.Thismeansthatwith6061itismucheasiertoaddstrengthaddingtubingfeaturesliketriplebutting,ovalizedtubing,andtaperedwallsthatreducetheweightandimprovethestrengthofthetubing.
Afinalnotetoputthisintoperspectiveistocomparealuminumtotheotherframematerials.Aluminumisfarweakerthanbothtitaniumandcro-mosteel,sowhyuseitAluminum’sgreatestadvantageisthatitissolightwhencomparedtocro-mosteelandcheapwhencomparedtotitanium.Thiscombinationoffeaturesmakesitthechoiceofmaterialformakinglight,high-performanceframesforareasonableprice.
我试一下把重点挑出来:1.目前铝合金车架普遍使用的材料是7005与6061两种。2.7000系列主要以锌为主要合金,成分比例达到6%。6000系列主要以镁和矽为主要合金,总成分比例较低。3.论强度的话7005较强,但只是稍微强一点,从表中可以看出来,yieldstrength(让铝材**弯曲变形的力度)只比6061强一点。4.所有用作车架材料的铝合金都经过热处理T6,5.但论整体来讲,6061是较好的材料。由于7005含其他金属比例高,所以焊接,处理都比较困难,尤其是7075(后两个数字代表含合金比例)它的比例更高,所以一般是不能用作车架的材料。相比之下,6061由于含其他金属比例较低,因此可以通过异型,各种处理来增加它的强度和减低它的风阻,甚至可以做到3次抽管来减低重量。6.虽然7005管购买价比较高,但整体来讲6061的成本比较高,因为6061所经过的热处理和其他工序比较烦琐复杂。因此6061的车架一般比较贵。也因此大多比较高端的车架(如TCR)也使用6061
